About This Spot

Pulling off Highway #7, Gala’s Pit Stop radiates the kind of welcoming ease that makes you want to pause and savor the moment. It’s a casual local eatery with the hum of a well-loved community spot, where the pace slows just enough for you to truly enjoy the comforting bustle around you. The buzz of chatter blends with the satisfying sizzle from the kitchen, creating an atmosphere that feels both lively and familiar—like a meal shared with old friends between adventures.

Inside, the scent of crispy fries and rich, gravy-drenched poutine invites you to indulge in hearty, honest food crafted for both the hungry traveler and the regular local. Each bite promises a glimpse into a menu that’s playfully inventive yet deeply rooted in classic Canadian comfort—whether you find yourself savoring a Philly Cheese Steak Poutine or warming up with a Banquet Burger after a day on the road. Sweet, nostalgic notes linger too, from playful ice cream flavors that offer a cool finish to any meal.

The rhythm here is unhurried but efficient, reflecting a place that knows many of its guests are on the move, yet equally values the moments spent lingering over good food and friendly exchange. Stopped here on our way from a camping trip. Place was very busy at the time of our visit. Surprisingly got our order in under 10 minutes and shared a table with another couple as all tables were occupied. Located right on a highway near pretty busy intersection, so not very quiet around. Our burgers were pretty good, meat properly seasoned so you can feel, but not too much, and juicy. Only thing, buns could be also grilled a bit, so they have little crust and don't fall apart as easy. As per crazy fryes, they were delicious for 2/3, but the bottom layer was way over salted. Still worth visiting if hungry, as portion sizes are decent for the price. Fries are not included in the burger price as in some other places. Gluten free and vegetarian options available. There is also ice cream on sight, but we didn't try, and also didn't see anyone buying it. Plenty of parking and porter potty at the back.

Amazing location and awesome options. We ordered a poutine and it was delicious! We went back to order extra cheese and gravy and they were so accommodating they gave us extra. Recommend this place as your pit stop for a tasty lunch in the great open outdoors!

We went there on the way home from Camping. But the food was delicious and the service was quick. Their portion sizes are better than many of the restaurants I’ve been to. Would make a stop here again! I had the philly cheese steak sandwich with sweet potato fries. My boyfriend had the butter chicken fries and Gala burger

The staff was so nice and easy going, very nice while also seeming very authentic, the location was great for a quick stop for hungry campers, and the food was great. They had a pretty big menu. We kind of went basic with classic poutine and burgers but they hit the spot and we will try some of their more unique offerings next summer.

Nice little chip truck that we were lucky enough to stop at. Poutine was very tasty, and no shortage of cheese curds and gravy, burgers were decent for what we paid, we will definitely stop here again.
